Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is the most misdiagnosed problem in modern medicine…with the possible exception of depression.
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome produces numbness, tingling, loss of grip strength and coordination in the hands and fingers. The common medical ‘solution’ is to put someone on modified duties at work, rest, and provide a wrist brace. This treatment plan accomplishes little. Then after little improvement (and another visit to your physician), the person is sent off for an unnecessary carpal tunnel syndrome surgery.
Here’s a direct quote from WebMD :
An incision is made at the base of the palm of the hand. This allows the doctor to see the transverse carpal ligament. After the ligament is cut, the skin is closed with stitches. The gap where the ligament was cut is left alone and eventually fills up with scar tissue.
Does it make sense to you to cut a ligament? We believe that God doesn’t make you with unnecessary parts.
Interestingly, the surgery costs between $6000-$12000…the amount the doctor and hospital changes OHIP for carpal tunnel syndrome surgery. Do you think that making approximately $10000 for a 20-minute surgery may influence the diagnosis a person might receive? Did you know that Hospitals and medical teams have surgical goals…the numbers of surgeries that they must perform to meet their economic needs? Hmmm… sounds a little corrupt don’t you think?
Quite simply, we have mad major successes in treating, alleviating and curing Carpal Tunnel Syndrome without surgery. In fact, as a young man, Dr Deakin himself was diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. He started chiropractic care and it was cured, never to return!
We correct the neck, where the nerves originate, and the symptoms of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome disappear. All of the nerves that serve the arm, hand and fingers begin at the neck. Unless the neck is corrected numbness, tingling and loss of grip strength will continue and worsen.
